BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK'S MOVIES WITH A VIEW
The Conservancy's most popular event returns for its tenth anniversary season! Movies With A View is one of the city's premiere outdoor film series with an eclectic lineup of films and breathtaking views of the NYC waterfront. The films are chosen by an all-volunteer Film Committee and each feature is preceded by a short film. DJs from Brooklyn Radio kick off the evening, spinning tunes as the sun sets, and RICE sells delicious dinners onsite. Bike valet provided by Transportation Alternatives. Presenting sponsor: SCI FI.

Find out what lives in the waters under the Manhattan Bridge! Join experts from the Coastal Marine Resource Center as we use a 30-foot seining net to catch fish and other remarkable East River creatures. Families and kids can take a good look at the fish before we release them back to their homes and keep a tally of our catch. We provide field guides, identification keys, and plenty of fun to go around.
Previous catches have included flounder, striped bass, Atlantic tomcod, bay anchovy, green crabs, blue crabs, shrimp, comb jellies, silversides, and pipefish. Space is available for 30 kids, ages 4 through 12, plus their parents/guardians. To reserve a space, please email rsvp@bbpc.net.

The Fitness Guru returns with Pilates Mat classes! Join Guress Lawson Harris and her team as they teach you to properly activate the muscles of your abdomen and back to create an incredible amount of stability in your torso. Pilates is designed to restore the natural curvature of the spine while rebalancing the muscles around the joints. Classes are free and open to all skill levels, but space is limited. Registration begins at 6:30pm each evening. A limited number of mats are available for rental for free (with valid ID).

Once again this summer local boating groups and boathouses from around the Harbor offer free kayaking and community rowing at the "Cove between the bridges" in Brooklyn Bridge Park. There is no need to sign up in advance; boating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring clothes you don't mind getting wet, and shoes or sandals suitable for walking on a rocky beach. No training or prior experience is needed. The only requirement is that you know how to swim. All equipment is provided free. Please note that there will be some variation in times due to tide conditions.
Kayaking and canoeing will be inside a protected cove. Rowing will be in a group rowboat with an experienced guide. Children under 18 must have an adult guardian present. FREE!

Over the past nine years, the Conservancy's annual Sunset fundraiser has earned its reputation as the party that starts summer in Brooklyn. This year, for the first time, party goers will celebrate on Pier 5 at the foot of Joralemon Street! Come get a taste of the spectacular views and waterfront vibe of the next section of Brooklyn Bridge Park, opening later this year.
Sunset Psychedelic will transform Pier 5 into a festive hotspot with an Age of Aquarius groove. Culinary impresarios Food in Motion will be back on the scene with sizzling hors d'oeuvres and snappy cocktails.
And don't forget the kids! We'll will provide special games and contests, face painting, hacky sack, chalk drawing, and entertainment for the smallest revelers.
